Movie Review Choices:Your first essay, a movie review evaluation, requires you to compare and contrast two differing movie reviews. Before you begin writing, you’ll need to choose those reviews so that they can be approved.
Please note that this brainstorm activity is a multi-step activity. Evidence of completion of all steps must be evident in your discussion board post. In your response, feel free to label each step so there is no confusion.

Step Three: Brainstorming
- Based on your initial reaction, which review seems like the stronger or more convincing of the two? What seems to make it so?
- Based on your initial reaction, which review is more readable, enjoyable, relatable, etc.? Does this align with the stronger article? Why might this matter?
- Do you think you are a part of each review’s target audience? That is, do you feel as though the writers were targeting people like you? Why or why not?
Step Four
To receive full credit for this discussion board, you should offer at least one substantial, meaningful suggestion to at least two of your classmates’ posts. Responses such as “great job!” or “that’s my favorite movie!” are neither substantial or meaningful and will not earn full credit. Instead, ask a question of your classmate or note something of interest in the reviews they’ve chosen. What questions do you have about the reviews themselves? etc.
